The Fishing Musicians

The Fishing Musicians is not a hard core fishing show - it's funny, it's different and if the fishing turns out as good as the adventure then we have had great luck.

The Fishing Musicians is a 13-part television series about fishing, travel, entertainment and music hosted by Glen Ferguson. It will highlight the recreational and economic value of sport fishing as well as the importance of conservation and environmental action, and the promotion of music and culture in Canada and around the world.

The adventure is as important as the fishing, sitting on the bank and thinking, relaxing, joking, playing music, daydreaming, whatever! 

Well-known Canadian musicians and entertainers such as Jimmy Flynn, who enjoy the sport of fishing, will guest host on the program. Film locations will cover Canada and other area of the world. The show will benefit both the average and experienced angler.

Catching fish is exciting but to us that's not what the show is all about. Music, culture and the great outdoors are just as important.

Brazil Adventure Part One
Glen teams up with Leo Madeira of www.gofishingbrazil.com and Nelson Lage of www.pescamazon.com to visit Marajo Park Resort www.marajoparkresort.com.br on Mexiana Island located in the Amazon Basin. Fishing for Piranha and visiting the Amazon Jungle. 

Brazil Adventure Part Two
Glen continues his visit with Leo and Nelson at Marajo Park Resort in the Amazon Rain Forest. 

Labrador Adventure
Glen and guest host Jim Blewett www.isaacandblewett.com visit Mick Emmems of www.awesomelake.com for a trip to the deep wilderness of Labrador for some great speckled trout fishing. 

Labrador Part two and Bathurst mackerel with Wild Pitch Band
Glen and guest host Jim Blewett continue their adventure at Awesome Lake Lodge. Then Glen joins up with his band “Wild Pitch” to do some mackerel fishing in the Bay of Chaleur near Bathurst.

Australia Adventure Part One
Glen and his wife Jennifer return to their place of marriage in Sydney and Port Douglas to meet up with their host guide “Didg” for some Australian Salmon fishing on the beaches on Nelson Bay. They are host by www.samuraiportstephens.com Samurai beach Bungalows.

Australian Part 2
Glen and Jen continue their Australian adventure sand boarding, fishing and then back to Sydney for a quick visit. They are ready to return back to Canada.

Squamish, British Columbia adventure
Glen returns from Australia and land in Vancouver travels the Sea to Sky High way to meet Kevin Kish of www.whistlerfishingguides.com to fish the Squamish River for the giant “Chum Salmon”. In the valley of the pacific Coastal Mountains Squamish is only 45 minutes from Whistler and offers a spectacular backdrop for a great fishing adventure. 

MayFlower, NFLD Adventure
Glen and his special guest , Jimmy Flynn, travel the Great Northern Peninsula of Newfoundland to meet with Trevor pilgrim wwww.mayfloweradventures.com for an amazing journey back in time to rugged land full of culture, wildlife and friendly folks. Salmon fishing on Beaver brook and trout fishing on Cloud River make this journey one of the best!! 

Mayflower Part 2 and Miramichi Spring salmon
Glen and Jimmy finish up their Mayflower adventure in Newfoundland. Glen travels to the world famous Mirimichi River near Blackville, New Brunswick for some spring Atlantic salmon fishing. 

Bathurst fishing “Turf and Surf” (New Brunswick)
Glen travels to the world Famous Governors resort outside Bathurst for a quick Speckled Trout fishing trip and then heads back to the Coast for a day in the life of a Lobster fisherman with Darrell of Stonehaven. 

Bathurst Adventure
Glen shows the viewer a scenic journey of Bathurst from the air, land and sea fishing the rivers and ocean in a highlight show showing the best of what Bathurst has to offer.
