Having roots in Belfast, N.I., Ryan was born in Toronto and recalls always having a fascination with television. Saturday mornings were incomplete unless they were spent watching Rocketship 7, Commander Tom,  Bugs Bunny and Scooby Doo from the nearby ABC affiliate Buffalo stations. The acid-drenched psychedelic "kids show" HR Pufnstuf left disturbing images that last to this day. 

Later, Ryan once joined his father for a taping of the classic, budget- challenged Canadian game show "Definition", featuring an audience of 7, a wax-museum like host and the grand prize consisting of a toaster oven.

University was spent studying Marketing and business, but Ryan maintained an interest in media. A few years after working in the business world, he began his foray into television by taking courses and volunteering on-air with Rogers Cable. 

Ryan's career evolved and soon he found himself working in Rogers'  Promotions department, which eventually lead to becoming the station's Promotions Producer. Meanwhile, Ryan began working with the Toronto Blue Jays as the club's In Game Host, roving the stands of Rogers Centre holding impromptu interviews and executing giveaways on the jumbotron. 

Things continue to change with Ryan, as he now hosts and produces Our Toronto, one of Rogers TV's newest programs. When not working, Ryan celebrates life every day by spending time with his girl Danielle, his great family, his  Xbox360, and Jones the Cat..but not necessarily in that order.

Ryan thinks the world would be a much better place if every citizen became a fan of the outstanding Manchester based band James.
