James Hendricks is a veteran reporter who has spent more than a decade as a news anchor covering eleven elections, the amalgamations of Ontario’s two largest cities, and issues ranging from international terrorism to homelessness on our streets.
James describes his return to Rogers as “old home week” but says hosting Talk Ottawa means more than working with old friends and familiar faces. “I’ve always had a passion for the news and if you’re like me, you may often find you’re not getting what you really want: frank talk about what it all means,” says James. “That’s where Talk Ottawa really hits the sweet spot. It’s the one place where we are able to talk to the local newsmakers, live, and sort out what happened today and discuss how that affects us tomorrow. ” That, he says, is must-see TV!
James lives in the Glebe with his wife Susannah, who, James says, after a decade of marriage is still tolerant of his loud guitar playing. They share their digs with Pumpkin, a large orange tabby who has nothing but patience for them both.
