Dave Carr is a well respected, well liked and in demand resident of Owen Sound. A veteran broadcaster, Dave is passionate about his community and his work. Dave Carr hosts Dave Carr LIVE and daytime in Grey County. With both shows, Dave brings out valuable information from interesting LOCAL guests.
After completing his broadcasting education back home in Hamilton, he accepted a weekend position at CFOS Radio in Owen Sound, which parlayed into a full-time position. He stayed for 30 years, retiring in November 2002. In that time, he was News Director and Program Director. He co-created the long-running segment Remember When, was a newscaster and reporter for 27 years, morning host for 3 years and for 23 years was host of the daily morning talk show "The Open Line".
Dave was involved in Junior Achievement during its decade in Owen Sound, and has served on the City's Economic Development Advisory Committee and the one-time Visitor & Convention Bureau. He currently chairs the Physician Recruitment & Retention Committee and serves on the Bayshore Renovation Committee.
Dave's love for his community and local issues within Grey County makes him a popular fixture in the community and a respected member of the Rogers TV team.
