Monday, April 6, 2014 [Durham Region] – During National Volunteer Week, Rogers TV (cable 10/63) is set to celebrate and recognize the contributions of its 250 volunteers.

“From camera operators to floor directors and audio engineers, each person who volunteers here at Rogers TV makes a unique contribution to the success of the channel and ultimately, to our community,” says Lisa McClean Stellick, Station Manager, Rogers TV. The Durham Region enjoys vibrant local programming thanks to our volunteers. We simply couldn’t do what we do without them,” adds McClean Stellick.

Rogers TV volunteers help produce local programming to showcase the local people, places, stories and events that make up the communities where we live and work. They are diverse in age, ability and experience, but each volunteer shares in their commitment to making a difference. They fill an endless number of roles and responsibilities. Bringing to us their unique skills and experiences, they are rewarded with a sense of achievement, new skills, renewed confidence and new connections that come from volunteering.
