Step into the surreal world of Staircases Leading to Nowhere, Keith Langergraber’s immersive exhibition currated by Charo Neville at the Kamloops Art Gallery.
Featuring floating sculptures, cascading drawings, and cinematic video-sound installations, the exhibition blurs the line between reality and fiction while exploring themes of climate change, world tensions, and political divides. Inspired by a herd of wild horses living in the Highland Valley copper mine, Langergraber uses their unlikely presence in an industrial space as a poetic vehicle to unpack global anxieties. Their movement through collapsing ruins becomes a sculptural metaphor for chaos, survival, and the fragile balance between nature and industry.
