Dufferin Closed Due To Worksite Accident That Triggers Emergency Response
A construction worker is seriously injured after falling and becoming impaled by rebar at the new Nanaimo Cancer Centre construction site on Dufferin Crescent. The incident shut down traffic near Nanaimo Regional General Hospital and prompted a specialized crane rescue before the worker was taken to hospital in serious but stable condition.
