New copper and zinc mine taking shape in Saskatchewan as demand grows for critical minerals

In northeastern Saskatchewan, the province’s first copper mine in nearly 30 years is taking shape. Foran’s McIlvenna Bay mine is expected to begin production of copper and zinc at a commercial scale in mid-2026.
