Waldo Cove Park Opening
The Regional District of East Kootenay has unveiled it's latest Regional Park. Waldo Cove is on the shores of Lake Koocanusa, near the town of Baynes Lake. In addition to it's amenties, the park also contains the first of ten historical interpretive structures, aimed at sharing the struggles faced by Colonial and Indigenous residents, who were displaced from the area following the creation of the Libby Dam.
