PWHL Champion Brings the Walter Cup Home to Lethbridge
Lethbridge-raised women’s hockey player, Dara Greig, finally got the chance to bring the long-awaited Professional Women’s Hockey League trophy home to a crowd of fans.

Initially, the event was scheduled for August, but it was postponed after the trophy went missing when it did not arrive due to a shipping error. Now, with the trophy recovered, Greig had the chance on Wednesday to share her victory with local fans.
The trophy was earned during her time with the Montréal Victoire this spring, when they beat the Ottawa Charge in the Walter Cup finals in three games to one.
During the offseason, Dara Greig has since signed a two-year contract with the Ottawa Charge, she is also the sister of current Ottawa Senators player, Ridly Greig.
