Record-Breaking Number of Babies Born in 2025 at LHSC
In 2025 a total of 6,636 babies were delivered, which represents a nearly three per cent increase from LHSC's previous record of 6,452, which was set in 2024. There were 144 sets of twins and three sets of triplets. Thursdays were the busiest day of the week, and July was seen to be the busiest month of the year. LHSC saw the arrival of anywhere from one to 30 babies each day, with the average being 18.
