Nanaimo acquires land for future community centre in south end.
The City of Nanaimo has acquired land in Chase River for a future community centre, backed by $2.5M from B.C.'s Growing Communities Fund. This project addresses a key need for recreational space in the south end and is a top priority for City Council. Planning is underway, guided by a feasibility study and community input, aligned with City Plan: NanaimoLan ReImagined.
