Sault Company Shares in $3.4M Provincial Manufacturing Boost
A Sault Ste. Marie company is among 12 Northern Ontario manufacturers receiving provincial funding through the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation.
R.F. Contracting has been awarded nearly $380,000 to build a new workshop and purchase pipe and metal fabrication equipment. The province says the investment will help the company expand operations, create jobs, and reduce the need to outsource supplies.
In total, Ontario is investing more than $3.4 million in manufacturing projects across Northern Ontario, with the funding expected to support approximately 80 jobs.
The province says the investments are aimed at strengthening local supply chains, supporting Ontario-made products, and helping businesses grow amid ongoing economic uncertainty.
