Young Artist Finds Purpose Through Public Art | Rogers tv
Lloydminster artist Ray French is turning public art into a platform for healing, identity and inspiration. After joining the Truth and Reconciliation mural project in downtown Lloydminster through an Indigenous mentorship opportunity with mural artist Brandi Hofer, French says the experience helped her reconnect with her culture and see art as more than just a hobby. Now accepted into Emily Carr University, the young Cree artist hopes her journey encourages other Indigenous youth to express themselves creatively, and see a future in the arts.
