Purple Chair Campaign Makes Its Way To The West Kootenays
The Purple Chair Campaign is visible in the west Kootenays, thanks to an influx of chairs painted and distributed by the Autonomous Sinixt. The campaign happens throughout the month of August, with the chairs symbolizing the empty space left behind by those lost to the toxic drug crisis. The campaign will culminate with a day of action on August 31st at Nelson City Hall, where community members are encouraged to come out with either with a chair, or without, and stand together against the toxic drug epidemic.
