Ontario Protects Northern Forestry Jobs With New $5 Million Funding Package
Ontario is taking action to preserve jobs in Northern Ontario’s forestry sector with a $5 million investment that supports sustainability and innovation. Minister Kevin Holland

Kevin Holland, Associate Minister of Forestry and Forest Products, highlighted that this program helps the sector adapt to trade pressures, shifting markets, and environmental responsibilities. For many communities, this investment means more opportunity to develop local capacity and create new revenue streams from what was once considered waste.
