9th Annual Strong Minds Run for Change Raises Awareness for Mental Health
Mental health challenges affect millions of Canadians across all communities. According to the Canadian Mental Health Association, one in five Canadians will experience a mental illness in any given year. By age 40, about 50% of Canadians will have had a mental illness at some point. That message is at the heart of the Strong Minds Run for Change, which returned to the Sault for its 9th year during Mental Health Week. Hundreds of participants hit the waterfront for a 5K run and kids’ race, raising awareness and funds for local mental health services and initiatives.
